The Painted Cottage is born of 2 friends' desire to create, decorate, and help beautify the world one small town at a time!
Anita and Amanda met in the small village of Mont Vernon, New Hampshire almost four years ago. From wildly different backgrounds we have grown to become close friends who share many things in common. Through our blog and new shoppe we hope to now share our passion with you!

A dream of ours has always been to have our own shops that we can design from the ground up. While a full on retail store isn't in the cards yet, we are starting in a much smaller, but equally beautiful room inside Robin's Egg in Milford, NH. In our first post you can follow us on our journey in turning a small dark closet of a room to a bright, airy, cottage styled showroom.
